Original Research Question: With a new leader in power, how will the structure of American Healthcare change from the previously passed ACA by the Obama Administration? Process: I started with a few different essays, one specifically related to the shift to Universal Healthcare, one relating to How Trump will disband the ACA, and one about anxiety. I searched key words, looked for other citations of similar works, and looked at the authors' credibility. All my articles were found in the AJPH. I chose to research more about Universal Healthcare because I am going into the field and want to make a change and am somewhat unfamiliar with UHC. My original questions became evident of my bias and steered the conversation one dimensionally. I had to rephrase my question because I noticed I was coming into my research with preconceived ideas and opinions. I changed some of the key language to be more specific and less prejudiced towards a specific outcome. Based on information in the text I also picked key words that were important to my research and searched the meaning so I can be better versed in what I am specifically talking about and be more clear to my readers.

The article by Tooker, "Affordable Health Insurance for All Is Possible by Means of a Pragmatic Approach" is what we discussed in lecture as "my dream article." It discusses the fact that the American HealthCare system could flourish if they switched to universal coverage. It also discussed major benefits to citizens if the switch were to happen and how exactly the government can make these happen. It spoke on lessons we can learn from past policy and current issues. This specifically relates to my article because it shows the steps to make UHC successful and the benefits in doing so, which is what my article will overall be about.

As someone who has personally benefited from the Obama Administration's ACA, seeing how healthcare might change with new leadership is very important to me. The ACA benefited millions of Americans so with Trump as our new President and healthcare rumors flying around I want to see the steps in place and what government thoughts are about UHC. This is why I chose to research healthcare reform specific to switching to Universal Care and seeing if it is functional for American citizens and government. This picture shows The President with a fact about him wanting to take away the rights given in the Affordable Care Act and some of the consequences for doing so.
